Welcome to the Honey Bee Veterinary Consortium

The HBVC is made up of students and professionals from all segments of veterinary medicine and animal science who care about bees and beekeeping.

As of January 2017, if a beekeeper needs to administer antibiotics to their honey bees, they are required to have a prescription or feed directive from a licensed veterinarian.

Veterinarians, meet Beekeepers; Beekeepers, meet Veterinarians!

Part of our mission at HBVC is to provide an avenue for beekeepers to locate a veterinarian that is willing to work with bees. If you are a beekeeper looking for a veterinarian, we have a searchable listing of veterinarians that have indicated they are interested in working with beekeepers.

If you are a veterinarian interested in working with beekeepers, sign up to be on the list as a veterinarian interested in bees. You will also receive a newsletter and have access to specialized content.
